The intense Black & White Adventure takes guests from the UNESCO protected biosphere reserve and rainforests of Clayoquot Sound, where guests can get up close and personal with Black Bears, Orca, Grey and Humpback Whales, to the rich and vibrant northern wilderness of Churchill Manitoba’s Hudson Bay Coast, where guests can experience on-the-ground and in-the-bay access to Polar Bears, Beluga Whales, Aurora Borealis, Arctic Flora and Fauna, Arctic Birds and more - with opportunities to stay in Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia - all in one mind-blowing trip.

Clayoquot Wilderness Resort is a Luxury Tent Camp and Adventure Resort located in the Clayoquot Sound World Biosphere on the west coast of Vancouver Island - a temperate rainforest on the Canadian Pacific teaming with wildlife. A photographer’s dream experience, the Black & White Adventure includes overnight accommodations, meals, guided activities and local transportation as well as seaplane transfers to/from Vancouver and Clayoquot Wilderness Resort, aerial and ground transfers at Churchill Wild, and ground transfers to Vancouver and Whistler. Not included are flights to Winnipeg or Vancouver and between Vancouver and Winnipeg.

All-inclusive packages for the 10-13 day Black & and White Adventure are being offered in July and August 2012 from $13,500 Cdn. per person, plus taxes and fees. Based on availability, these trips have very limited capacity and will sell out fast.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy:

  • Clayoquot - a non-refundable 50% deposit is required at the time of booking and the remainder is due 60 days prior to arrival
  • Churchill Wild - a non-refundable deposit of $3,000 per person is due at the time of booking and remainder is due 90 days prior to departure
  • Due to the short operating season for both resorts, all deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable.  Travel insurance is highly recommended.

What to Bring

Black & White Adventure (Summer):

Again, layers are best. Fleece or wool sweater with waterproof 3\4 length hooded jacket will protect you on the coldest days. Rainpants, waterproof boots, gloves and wide brim hat should round out your outerwear. Light long sleeve shirts for the hot sunny days. (Temperatures can vary from 5C to 30C in a few hours!) Bug juice and bug jackets can be purchased at the lodge or bring along, we can recommend best types.
