Join Canon Explorer of Light Charles “Chas” Glatzer of Shoot The Light on what is sure to be an incredible photo safari at Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge this fall. The Canon Explorers of Light group is comprised of dozens of the most influential photographers and cinematographers in the world, all of whom share their photographic passions and technical expertise with photo professionals, hobbyists, enthusiasts, and in this case, our guests!
This special new departure will feature onsite workshops and plenty of time to photograph polar bears, black bears, wolves, northern lights and the main event, the giant bull moose of the Hudson Bay lowlands.
Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge is quickly becoming known as an epicenter for the largest remote moose population remaining in western Canada. Exceptionally huge bull moose wander the coastline every fall in search of potential mates and are easily wooed to within camera range by our master moose caller, Albert “Butch” Saunders. Not for the faint of heart or weak of knee, these lovesick moose are sure to keep adrenaline levels at an all-time high, as Albert works his “moose magic”!
Chas’s work has been celebrated internationally with over 40 prestigious awards for superior photographic competence demonstrated through photographic competition, advanced education, and service to the profession.
